BMW launched new SUV X1, priced at Rs. 22 to 29.9 Laca, BMW X1 Photos, Images

BMW launched its cheapest and smallest SUV "X1" in India on 23rd December, 2010 in New Delhi. BMW X1 is the youngest member of heavier X3 and X5 family is a compact SUV and will be CKD (completely knocked-down unit) produced in India.

BMW X1 launched in three variants: BMW X1 sDrive18i (petrol), BMW X1 sDrive20d (diesel) and BMW X1 sDrive20d Exclusive (diesel) at a very competitive price startinf grom only Rs. 22 Lakhs and give very tough fight to Honda CRV, Chevrolet Captiva, Ford Endeavour, Mitsubishi Outlander and Toyota Fortuner ranging almost the same price range.

Speaking on the launch Dr. Andreas Schaaf, President, BMW India said,

"The new BMW X1 is a modern vehicle that for the first time brings premium BMW characteristics into the compact vehicle segment. The new BMW X1 sets a benchmark by bringing together features of a Sports Activity Vehicle with spontaneous flexibility and outstanding fuel economy. Volvo launched new SUV XC60 in India, Priced at Rs. 39.5 Las - Volvo XC60 Photos, Images

Swedish auto maker Volvo has launched its new luxury SVU "XC60" in the Indian market. Volvo XC60 is the safest Volvo car in India, powered by 2.4-litre five-cylinder diesel engine which gives 205bhp of power and 420Nm of torque.

Volvo XC60 will come with CBU and available in colors and the interiors come with four upholstery colours.

Skoda launched New SUV Yeti, priced at Rs. 15.4 - 16.62 Lacs, Skoda Yeti Photos, Images

Czech car maker Skoda launched its much awaited compact SUV, "Yeti" in the Indian market on 15th November. Skoda Yeti launched in two variants Ambiente and Elegance and priced at Rs. 15.40 and Rs. 16.62 Lakhs respectively.

New 4x4 Skoda Yeti will be powered by 2.0 liter TDI diesel engine which gives 140bhp with exclusively 6-speed manual gear box and a mileage of 17.67 kmpl. Skoda India already booked 1000 orders on day 1 of its launch. Skoda Yeti comes with 6 airbags.

Hyundai launches new SUV Santa Fe, Priced at Rs. 20.95 - 22.95 Lakhs

Korean Auto giant Hyundai launched its world wide best seller luxury SUV "Santa Fe" in the Indian market on 14th October, 2010. Hyundai Santa Fe is a 7 seater 2.2litre (2199cc), four cylinder, DOHC (16Valve), CRDi engine.

Hyundai Santa Fe is launched in 2 variants, a two-wheel drive only (4×2) and the four-wheel-drive variant (4×4). Santa Fe comes with six-speed manual transmission with leather seats, climate control, cruise control, a decent audio-kit and large 18” alloy wheels.

Santa Fe packed with safety features by six-airbags and a fairly advanced ESP system. Hyundai claimed a mileage of 14.66 kpl and will mainly compete with Honda CRV, Chevrolet Catptiva, Mitsubishi Outlander, Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Nissan X-Trail and upcoming Skoda Yeti.

Tata launching New MPV Aria in October - Tata Aria Photos, Price, Images, Pics

Tata Motors finally launching its first and much awaited MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) "Aria" in October, 2010 likely on 11, just ahead of Diwali. Tata Aria will have a 2.2-litre direct injection common rail diesel engine, which is currently doing duty in Safari and Sumo Grande.

Tata Aria will compeet with popular Toyota Innova and Mahindra Xylo but have much superior features like of Toyota Fortuner and Chevrolet Captiva at a much lower Price.
